EARLY STAGE RESEARCHERS
Ailbhe Ryan
Ailbhe obtained her BSc in Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology from University College Dublin. Ailbhe then obtained an MSc in synthetic chemistry, at the National University of Ireland, Galway, under the supervision of Professor Paul Murphy. As part of the APPFLow ITN, Ailbhe’s PhD project is examining the development of flow processes for catalytic selective oxidation reactions.
Lara Nolan
Lara obtained her undergraduate degree in chemistry from Trinity College Dublin. Her thesis project was under the supervision of Prof. Mathias Senge and she examined the synthesis and testing of photosensitizer molecules. Lara’s PhD project is to develop flow processes for fast/highly reactive organometallic reactions that have applications in synthetic organic chemistry.
Seán Dempsey
Seán obtained his BSc in Chemistry University College Dublin before going on to complete an MSc at the National University of Ireland, Galway, under the supervision of Professor Paul Murphy. Seán’s PhD project is focused on developing scalable methods for catalytic hydrogenation reactions.
